Stretch everyday like you are doing. Yoga and pilates always help, and don't forget to warm the muscles before stretching. Yoga uses that and breathing techniques to increase stretches. My yoga teacher is abut 50 and can do a split while balancing on her hands with one leg going forward over her shoulder ;)
