Fred. Your last step is supposed to be across your body in CBMP even if it is followed by a Feather Step. You should already be in a perfect position for a Contra Check. Amount of turn can differ depending on the next group. After a Reverse Turn Feather Finish make a quarter of a turn to continue into a Feather Step Diag to centre.
At a corner after the Reverse half a turn to face diag to cenre. Or 3/8ths of a turn if you want new LOD as you finish.
It can be a spectacular step. I don't know if I can explain. There should be a heavy sway to the left on 2. There can a slight rotation of the shoulders and body anti- clock, feels like pulling the left shoulder back. Step LF at the same time in CBMP. Unwind if the Feather is to follow. You will find a terrific unwinding feeling which will enhance the first step of the Feather coming from CBMP to CBM.. The ladies being on the inside can make or break this manouver She must step small on Two, any attempt to go big on step two won't work
There is only three steps in the Change of Direction, but it can be very spectaclar especially if you work that 2nd step with a bit of a slide and sway using the inside edge of the right foot..I hope I have explained this well Best of luck with your Change of Direction.
