LLuv2dance. Where I live with the not so good teachers. There is a tendancy to distort such a beautifull move by the lady from Fan to the end of the Hockey Stick, by having the lady go straight across the front of the man with a half a turn at the very end. Which as you have pointed out. Could it be they are reading the book without any understanding. It is probably easier in a class to have every one turn to the right on what could be called a new alignment.Question. Could you call that a Hockey Stick.
Whilst I am on to bad teaching. Another is the Samba Walks taught as two lock steps would you believe.
I assume that the alternative after the Fan position is a Back Basic by the lady. Which is a Backward Walk Checked..
It's very pleasing to find somebody who also counts the 1/2 beats.
