Just fyi you all are talking about two different types of weave. The first described the weave from promenade, which is at least a similar idea between waltz and foxtrot, though waltz rises and falls per measure while foxtrot has one rise cycle for the whole two measure figure. Then Jonathan posted the basic weave, which is quite different in its entry.
