Re: women's shoes for beginner dancer

Vikinyc. Make sure that you understand the difference between Latin Shoes, and Court Shoes which are for Modern Waltz etc. Latin Sandals can be used for Modern. The are some disadvantages which are slight. Court shoes are not the way to go if you are into Latin. If you are new to dancing you also need some advice on the size of the heel suitable for you. As always the most expensive are the best. But can be a bit of a slug. If I were buying a pair of dance shoes unless I knew exactly what I wanted I would go personaly to a shop that stocks all brands of shoes, even if it means travelling. Myself and two girls once did a round trip of over 1200 miles to buy the German Brand of Diamant. That's the one with the Diamante stuck underneath on the instep of the ladies shoe. Nothing would be worse than buying something not suitable for you. Best of luck.
