Teresa. You must be carefull as you already know about the fit of the shoe being a diabetic. No rubbing or blisters. Most of the lady teachers here for Modern or Latin, who are on their feet all day, wear a training shoe they are black in colour and have a soft leather upper. They wouldn 't be suitable because of the colour for a competition. Most manfactureres produce this shoe. google. superdance shoes, at the bottom you will find superdance. then new shoes, then practice shoes Shoe 1025 has a smaller heel. Its worth having a look at all the shoes they have to offer. One thing though, they are among the best and the dearest.Good Luck
