The problems of finding a trained and suitable dance partner is so problematic that dancers will tolerate many issues that they would not be put up with in regular relationships.

I have even heard of one studio that had 3 dancing romantic pro couples dancing and competing together and over time each broke up and switched partners around and all stayed at the same studio.

According to some dance blogs that I have read--Slavik and Karina avoid each other at competitions and are not on good terms over their breakup. This breakup has probably some legal and monetary issues since they made several popular dvd's together.

There are no easy answers to this issue.
