Wheras I am talking about the kind of things that they widely present in private lessons, but do not fix in any recorded medium. In fact, some of them have said things to the effect of, if you wrote this down on a piece of paper I would refuse to sign it. But they still teach it, and not just to students at some particular stage but to everyone they work with.

Experiencing candid truths like that is something that just won't happen as long as you rely on "prepackaged consumer" sources. You have to get in person time with these experts to learn about what they really advocate.

Nice one Anon3, you are completely right.The step starts on beat 1 and finishes on beat 3 in slow walts. So why make such a big deal out of it? Just try to simplify things because they are not that complicated...
