re: Dancing; The Social Aspect

This is a good post that got lost in the shuffle!

Definitely agree with you Ghostdancer. I find too that it doesn't seem to matter how Tom Cruise-like you look or any of that stuff, but more on the order of can you be a gentleman and lead a lady through, at the very least a fun dance. I think, from my perspective as a guy, most women will really encourage you and compliment you for trying (had this happen many times. Once, a woman actually asked me to Tango, and that's not a dance I indulge in very often at all. But she said, "No problem, just enjoy, do your basic steps" In a minute or two, I felt a surge of confidence come over me. I got to lead her through a Hustle later which she really loved!)

Dancing is without a doubt, a great confidence builder, as well it should be. I get ticked at pwople who think they're better than everyone else and think you aren't good enough to spend a few moments on the dance floor with.

Social Dancing is about SOCIALIZING, CONNECTING and BEFRIENDING.

I am single too, but I don't go dancing with the intent of meeting someone at all, though the potential may exist. I dance out of love for dancing itself, the exercise and the social interaction. Case closed for me.
