Arm styling is an extension of the dance. For example when your partner throws you out do not keep your arm down by your side keep the arm outstretched with a slight bend in the elbow turn the palm down fingers outstretched. Arm styling also provides stability for example if you are balancing on one foot by keeping your your arms out it balances your weight as a trapeze artist does. Another tip is to listen to the song and the words to give you hints practice on your own in front of a mirror or ask to dance facing the mirro with your partner/teacher that way you can see thier technique. Another idea ask for an exchange lesson with a female teacher at your studio and focus on arm styling or steps you are having difficulty with. Good luck and enjoy yourself.
