Tails or not.

The last three demonstrations of Modern Ballroom International Style over three years where I have been present, the male has not worn tails. The lady has worn a competition dress as normal but the male in this case Christopher Hawkins before him two others including William Pino were not in tails for their demonstrations. In a competition Professional or Amateuer there is no rule which says they must be worn. My point is. Does the thought of spending all that money turn a would be competitor away from competition dancing. For those who are old enough to remember in the UK in the late 40's it was often specified that lounge suits only be worn and for the lady a flaired skirt. Other competitions it was sometimes stated that dress was optional.
