Swing Jive v. Flick

I would suppose the dancing authorities are having nightmares over this one. In the studio for medals we are taught the Swing Jive which most of us are familiar with. If you go to clips from the Emerald Ball 2007 of the Professional honours dance. You will find that they and anywhere else you may go are not dancing the Swing Jive. The reason. As Karen Hardy said. It is impossible to get the swinging hip action with the speed the music is played. Trying to do this will result in us chasing the beat. These comments came from an IDSF final where one couple only out of the six were trying to dance Swing Jive. The music is not going to be slowed down to accommodate our type of Jive. I wonder if German Teacher has any comments on this one.
