They were married years ago, but no longer. They had a studio in NYC - not sure of they still operate it. Melanie was on an episode of TLC's "What Not to Wear". She seems to be such fun. As far as I know, they are still business partners in the dance world.

I was also shocked when she was given the title of "assistant" on SYTYCD. The nerve!

Although divorced they maintain a professional relationship continuing to coach and teach from their premier ballroom studio in New York City - Dance Times Sqaure (http://dancetimessquare.com/index.php?page=29). They can be viewed on their studio web page or YouTube in one of the sexiest dance numbers I've ever seen (http://youtube.com/watch?v=R6HZJWSE1XE).

They also have instructional videos available for viewing at http://www.expertvillage.com/interviews/rumba-dancing.htm .

My dance studio has hired Tony to choreograph showcase numbers - his work is amazing!!!

I know Tony and Melanie. I had a few private lessons with Tony and I had lunch with Melanie once when I was in NYC. My good friend used to teach at their studio.
They still own their studio (www.dancetimessquare.com).
Tony is an amazing teacher (quite expensive though), we had a lot of fun working with him. Melanie is a great person (I can't believe someone said that she is not a people's person!!). She is an artist and has a colorful personality but she is so nice. I remember how she was telling me that she just went to Barbara Walters house and stories about her exciting life, then she would ask us tons of questions about our (boring compared to hers) life! I was so happy to tell her that the movie Dance With Me inspired me to start latin (Tony and her did the choreographies for that movie, they are featured as well). It was a great moment for me!
