Many thanks for the replies! Sorry that I double-posted this on ballroom as well as latin - wasn't sure which one was more active (also changed the subject is it got chopped off in the first post)

My husband started the dancing in our family! He wanted to learn "a couple of steps in a couple of dances"--by tommorrow night!! Well you must know the end of this story, I went on to do some competions and continued my learning. He stopped. BUT he doesn't interfere with my lessons and is very encouraging.
This is all about communication between two people.
