Dedecated2Dance. Most of the Spins you see are actually Three Step Turns to give that one its correct name. This is how it was explained to me. Breaking it down. Face the wall. Step to the side with the LF still facing the wall. Bring the RF to the LF 1/2 a turn now backing the wall feet together. Complete the other 1/2 of the turn of the turn and step to the side LF. You must be facing the wall any attempt to go down the LOD with that step is wrong. As a practise do a 1/2 turn and stop. Then do the other half a turn. As I said make no attempt to turn the body square to the LOD.
When you can do six of these across the floor and six coming back in a STRAIGHT LINE you are doing fine.
In the Cha after a New York try one spin( three step turn ) into another New York on the count of 4 and 1. 1 will be the step to the side. All information supplied by a former Blackpool Finalist. Good luck with this
