First of all, NO, size does NOT matter.

I think that some people took "heavy" the wrong way. You can dance with someone who is 90lbs. soaking wet and they can feel "heavy". Then you can dance with someone who is 300 lbs and they can feel as light as a feather.

There is an AMAZING salsa dance instructor (female) and she is not a small woman. However, she is a great dancer! No one says that you have to be petit to dance. Go out and have a blast. Don't worry if others are skinnier than you, it is about you having fun (and perhaps even getting a little fitter along the way). But the most important part is you and your husband having fun and enjoying each other's company!
