Just to clarify... this was a w/shop requested by those attending , on the evolution of mambo to salsa ( I did this essentially for free ) .

If the whole tape was posted , it would have included more Bolero , Danzon, and a piece about dancing on Clave ( literally ) .

It also was not intended to be a run of the mill step exercise, but more about the more academic side of the genre .
They have now asked me to do a short clip on Cha cha evolution.. starting from Triple mambo thru the 3 types of the current forms, which are hybrids ( its only going to be basic and the rhythms applied to each ) . Will try to make sure the sound is better .

Oh, JJ, I thought you were a proper gentleman, but You are a bad boy! Checking out bad videos! Ha-Ha-Ha
I did have a very hard time hearing what T-2 was saying, his back was to the camera. When I get home, it will be quite, I am going to try to listen again. A long time ago, our studio had a Dr. from Houston come to do a weekend clinic, & he spoke/explained the origin, the instruments, the beats, everything for 2 days. He even brought a clave for a teaching visual aid! I remember nothing! We were so new to dance at that point that we were concentrating on learning the steps & staying up with the advanced classes!! Now would be the perfect time for that class!! Not then!! I was just hoping for training music, that the beat was so strong, that it gave you no choice but to hear it! Thanks, ScottyBoyDoll
