Clary. I think it depends on where you live. Here you will rarely find a competition dancer attending a Social Dance. We attend practice sessions. Myself I attend technique classes as well in three different styles. I know that after a while the acquired IQ creates a gap between the serious dancer and the normal Social Dancer. That's life, that's how it is. What use is it trying to do a Spin Turn with somebody who doesn't even know that we must dance from foot to foot and doesn't know the correct posture anyway. How many times have you danced a Spin Turn and found the head looking to the right over the first three steps. That can be the man as well as a lady. Somebody will probably say. Go to a Social dance and let your hair down. I've been there and done that many times in the past. It becomes a complete waste of an evening.

Excellent, excellent point, anymouse. Why should anyone feel presured into dancing with others, anyway? The rotation could be a suggestion, that's it.
