Phil Samway. In Australia we have an additional
style in Ballroom Dancing named Australian New Vogue. There are some Fourteen different dances used in competition . It is based on the international style, meaning the feet are always parellal to each other. I will add here that this is sequence dancing, all couples keeping to a strick pattern. There are in some of the dances seperation where the couples move apart. Also some very spectacular shaping, almost as in Latin, arm lines etc.The Waltz Dances are V. Waltz tempo. Foxtrot the same as Modern, also Tango timing. There is no Quickstep, or Quickstep tempo in a competition.
Socialy there are literaly scores of different New Vogue Dances danced in clubs and so on. Hope this information helps in some way.
