The bad news is, there will be no more future CD's. The good news is, they will be DVD's instead, so the quality should be much better.
We recently filmed some videos of beginning bronze Foxtrot and Waltz, and had a complete set with professional sound, lighting, and backdrop. I even had a suit custom made for the occasion. The next time we film a set of variations, we will use this same set up, and actually provide instruction in addition to the demonstrations. On the website, the variations will be presented the same way they are now, but on the DVD and VHS, they will be full-quality video with complete instruction.
Also, because we'll be filming them all at once, we'll be able to plan them as a cohesive unit instead of a bunch of unrelated clippings. For example, we may have 4 Foxtrot variations, each of which will be a self-contained, socially danceable combination. But you'll also be able to put the 4 variations together to create a complete Foxtrot show or practice routine.
Because the DVD will be a much higher quality than the current CD-ROM, I expect that we will charge full price for it... probably about $30 to $35 for the DVD. There will probably still be about 15-20 steps per DVD, but if we're really efficient, we may be able to produce a separate DVD each for smooth and rhythm.
I'm not sure when our next opportunity will be to film variations, but I hope to have it ready to go in time for the next holiday rush.
