Yes, we do this all the time. I transfer the video onto VHS videocassette and view it on my TV at home - sometimes one frame at a time - this picks out any footwork or body alignment problems.
BUT - it's no replacement for a good teacher, who can both see more (because he/she sees you in 3-D, not just 2-D) and can stop you and correct the fault immediately if necessary.
What i'm trying to do now is feed the video from the camera into a projection system in the hall so i can watch myself 'live'. My teacher is away for 2 months on holidays
