Remember the Rumba and the Cha have a slight difference with the weight. Take a New York which is a walk checked in the Cha. There is not enough time to send your weight right over the supporting foot. In Rumba there is. If you do this wrong you will be chassing the beat and your following movement will suffer. The chasse for instance in the Cha can look scrappy and scuffed.
