Head postion. In normal Ballroom hold,
neither you or your partner should be able to see each other even out of the corner of your eyes. The problem is keeping that position ( on for instance the first three of a natural turn ).
Because initially I was taught wrong. I thought up the idea of loopng a bootlace on my upper arm and putting the other end in my mouth. That keeps the head still and was better than my teacher putting their hand on my chin to keep it in place. As a test, on your own, put the head in the correct position and do the first three of a Natural in the Waltz. Is your head still in the same position. If it is not, and you, as the man are now looking down the LOD. You need a bootlace. In the Reverse Turn you will more than likely have no trouble at all. It's the Natural movements that cause the major problem.
