Beyond the other advantages, Ballroom Dancing is a wonderful social asset.
Put enough effort into it, and you will become a stronger, physically fit, more confident, and poised person. It is an excellent hobby, a good exercise, and priced at what you are willing to pay for to get better.
Unlike other hobbies that require an immense initial outlay, ballroom requires only a few dollars and a willingness to attend a group lesson at a local studio or community college. The more you get into it, the more you have to decide on what you want to achieve, and at what cost (money, time with friends, other hobbies, and so on).
The other side of the coin is the exacting price of the relentless pursuit of improvement. That in itself is what makes ballroom dancing both frustrating and satisfactory.
