Who certifies B'room teachers in the US?

(Besides DanceVision that is. )

The major chains have their own certifications. So does the USISTD (the US branch of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing). Then there's the Terpsichore Society. My teachers all have USISTD certifications.

I looked at the Pro DVIDA exam certification pages. It looks very similar to ISTD and CDTA requirements except I was intrigued by the provision to take teacher certification in one dance only.

I looked at the USISTD pages but found them not to be too forthcoming. It appears some of their pages might still be under construction.

I do

(yeah, well, what I mean is that certification from the various bodies is a good sign, but ultimately we have to figure out for ourselves which of the teachers endorsed by others are right for us)
