We have been very fortunate here. On the tv we had on Xmas Day two hours of the Australian Open. On New Years Day we had two hours of the World Amatueur Latin and the World Standard and then on the 2nd we had one and a half hours hours of the World Amateur Ten Dance. To get to the point the comentary in each program was by former World Champions. This is what was said by Karen Hardy. Gimmicks, splits , spins can be learnt in a gym in a very short time. Lots of tricks flash dresses and flamboyant choreography. But Rumba Walks or the Samba bounce takes years. Paul Green. Learn in Modern some escape steps just incase you get knocked or stopped. Jive it is easier to kick the knees than it is to swing the hips if the music is fast. In Jive the knees are predominently bent in the Samba also. In the Rumba and Cha the knees are predominently very straight, locked back.
