Hi everyone! I just did my first competition. I loved the experience!!!I was competing PRO/AM in newcomer and associate bronze. I would like to thank all of you that have answered my questions through this forum for the past few weeks! Hip Hip Hip Hourra for ballroom dancing!!!

How does it work? I've never competed, and have no clue what goes on - what kinds of rules there are... Was it a USA dance event or another kind?
Do you have to get out and do it alone with your partner, or are there a bunch of people all at the same time?

Does competing move you up levels? My only experience here is in taking classes, and one "showcase," but that's just for fun...
