im new and ive only been dancing for 1 and a half years well anyway i have the samba walks in my routine what is the count for the samba walk

Alice.Just to get our bearings here and to make sure we are refering to the same thing. The Promenade Samba Walks are the one which has a type of Step. Push. Pull action. They are the normal 1 & 2 timing, which is actually 3/4 1/4 1. Cruzados locks which includes some walks are entirely different. Straight from the book. LF fwd. RF crosses behind LF ( Latin Cross ) LF fwd. RF fwd. LF crosses behind RF ( Latin Cross ). RF fwd. And the count is 1/2 1/2. 1. 1/2. 1/2. 1. Q Q S Q Q S will get you out of trouble. Samba is an extremly hard dance to understand with its changing rhythms and some of the names don't explain themselves. For instance Side Samba Walk. It's not a dance that can be learnt from a book.

Alice. As you entered this site you will see Samba mentioned. Click on it. Everything you need is right there as a video. You may have to instal 'Quick Time. It doesnt cost you anything.
