Hi All,
In the last years of John Wood competing I watched him dancing in the British in the Winter Gardens, Blackpool. In the semi he was dancing a Waltz, approaching the bandstand from the West End, when from a hover in promenade he danced a chasse, overturned his body on the closing step and crashed out on a heel lead on beat three. I couldn't believe what I saw. I looked at the stage and noticed that Bill Irvine had seen this because he was frowning.
