Hi Eron,

Can't give an exact answer but I'd check with your local community centers and University/Colleges. Many have inexpensive group classes.

I would prefer the University/Colleges over the community centers as they might have student clubs offering levels courses. This would allow you to progress. Unfortunately community centers are often dead-end short courses. What you learn in an 8 week course is forgotten in week nine. Check with the student societies.

Judging by your logon name you might be interested in this:

My wife and I just attended the Nanaimo Island Fantasy Ball this past weekend. Alain Doucet and Anik Joliceur (current World 10 Dance Professional Champions) demoed with their cousins Jean Marc Genereaux and France Mousseau. The performance was incredible. I've seen them many times but this was special.

Alain danced a foxtrot with both ladies in line and at the same time.

They teach at the BYU dance camp.

Hey, we share a name!
Anyway Erin, sorry I don't know about the Maine area, but Bob's right that most colleges have some programs, even if you're still a youth. He's also right, BYU has some great summer camps here in Utah, if you have time and the means. BYU offers those classes for almost all ages, and they're tons of fun. It's nice to have some experience when you go, but they also have good intorductory classes, teaching Latin and Standard dances, so that you have some experience when you go back. Either way, judging from your logon name, you might be interested in the tons of mormonboys that dance out here, too! =P Just kidding, but good luck in Maine!
