it's eight counts, where the follow steps first on their right foot and follows this rythm:
1 2 3 a4 5 6 7 a8
or
Step, Step
Triple Step
Step, Step
Triple Step
or
Right, Left,
Right, Left, Right
Left, Right
Left, Right, Left
Some instructors will tell you you walk forward, turn on 3,4, walk back to your orginal position . . . BUT, I say you do the steps in place, until the guy leads you. Your feet should go whereever they need to so you don't fall down.
The steps are actually easy, it's the Connection, Frame, and Momentum you have to learn, that's the hard part. Learning to move with your partern, and make it relaxed, and not jerky as you do the steps.
