Randomness is great! Haha- I've been dancing tap, jazz, and ballet since I was 4, so dance had always been a part of my life. Then about two years ago (I was 13) I was in my pajamas flipping channels and came across Women's Entertainment. I don't ever watch that channel, but what I saw looked like magic to me--it was the last 20 minutes of Strictly Ballroom and the famous paso doble. At that moment I called my mom on her cell and I said "that is what I want to do!" Now I'm having success competing and I know I will be ballroom dancing for the rest of my life!

thats so cool!
that was a good movie.
i started when my best friend brought me to her studio's showcase. At the time...i was a tumbler..and loved it so much that i considered joining a team. I had never seen ballroom dancing before...in fact...i dont think i had even heard of it. But when i saw the first dance of the night (i believe it was swing) i thought...this is where i belong. i want to do this. so at the end of the summer i quit tumbling and started taking lessons. it was the best decision i have ever made, and im so grateful that my friend introduced me to this sport because it has completely changed my life.

Oh I remember... I was 11 years old and my friend took me to this party at a dance studio. They wanted all the kids to dance. I didn't want to dance but this boy (I saw him dance before and he was in silver) asked me to dance. All the adults made me dance. We danced merengue. After we were done he said to me I was really good for a beginner and hopes I join ballroom. A week later I signed up for classes at the studio. I've been dancing for 10 months now and ever since then ballroom turned into my life.
