Hello everyone!!! Ok I have been dancing on and off for ever. I am 13 and no on pointe yet. I think my teacher is going to put me on this up coming year but i am not sure. My questions is do you think it is dumb for me to want to try dance professionally. I read about these girls who are 12 and dance with the rockettes and think did I wait to long to decide to want to do this. My mom says I should just try really hard!! HELP me, what do I do???

You're only 13. Beleive me you have plenty of time to decide what you want to do professionally. Yes, we read a lot about dancers turning pro very young but don't let age discourage you! There's always other options too. For example, I want to be a professional dancer, but I didn't decide this until I was 17 (I'm 20 now) and I went off to college to be a dance major. I don't plan on doing anything with a company or professionally until I'm out of college which will be another 2-3 years. All you can do is keep working hard and be patient. You've got many years ahead of you to try to be a pro so don't sweat it :)
