Height of Dancers

I was just curious if dancing is even possible with my husband and my self due to our height differences. What is the "perfect" height ratio of dancing partners. Thank you

Yes, it is possible to dance with a partner with whom you have a considerable height difference. My last competitive rhythm partner and I had a substantial height difference, but we danced steps that worked for us. The hieght difference might play a bigger role in dancing smooth or standard, but again you should dance steps that work for you.

Yeah I know what you mean. I was in dance with a partner a lot shorter than I was. But you just have to adjust to the height difference. After all she and I took fith place in foxtrot at BYU Idaho. Trust me it'll work out.

My wife is 5 feet, 3 inches tall and I'm 5 feet, 18 inches (grin). We have our very first (introductory) ballroom lesson together tonight. Should be interesting!

My boyfriend is 6 foot 2 inches and I am 5 foot 1 inch....we do swing dancing and we are learning salsa..wish us luck
