Unfortunately I lost that video in a hard drive crash. I might have the original footage on a VHS tape somewhere in the back of a closet, but who knows if I'll ever find it again. If I do, I'll be happy to put it back up.
We have footage of our dancing from other, more recent competitions. In fact, our dancing had improved greatly in the years since. But the nice thing about the Hawaii footage was that we were all alone on the floor. That made the mood of the dance sweeter -- We had more of a story-telling quality and less of a competitive edge.
Someday I'd like to film our dancing like a sort of a music video. Not only could we get closer to the action with the cameras, but we could mix all the best footage together and use the absolute best take of each moment. And I like the idea that we could spend even more time developing a sort of a story line, even by working in props or settings outside the dance studio. It's certainly a better way to showcase our dancing than all of the video clips we have of the basic syllabus steps.
But that's all just a spark of an idea -- something to consider for the future. Right now I have my hands full with other projects. In the meantime, if I find the Hawaii video, I'll post it back up.
Oh, and also in the meantime, we do have a collection of photos of our dancing on our personal website,
http://www.atkinsons.tv/, including a couple from that very competition in Hawaii in 2002.
Enjoy!

Jonathan
