I just went onto Itunes to listen to At Last, and found several different interpretations and styles of playing the song. It sounds as tho it originally was a slow fox trot, but I'm really not sure.

If you can be more specific, and tell us who is playing or singing, what record label, etc, then we could be more helpful.

Well from what I know its just that old classic "At Last" by Itta James. I think my aunt is just gonna buy the CD and play it at the wedding.

I just listened to a small portion of the Etta James recording on Amazon. It's a very slow beat, actually, with each beat a triplet (ONE-2-3, TWO-2-3, THREE-2-3, FOUR-2-3). So you need a slow dance. International Foxtrot or a Niteclub Two would probably be best. Bolero would be slow enough, also, but the song has no Latin feel.

I too listened to the Etta James version
and suggest too the foxtrot if your going to an AM or FA studio. Night club two step for a guy with no dance experience is out of the question in my opinion. Too bad you can't find someone to teach you two a simple rythmn two step. The studios won't teach these types of dance styles as they aren't profitable enough. It is a danceable song.

At Last was my wedding song too. We danced a Night club foxtrot to a version slightly faster than the Etta James original.
