the splits

hi, i'm 12 and have been dancing since i was 3, i was able to do the splits 2 years ago and then i took a whole year off from dancing, but now i've been dancing for a year and i've gotten most of my flexibility back, but when i try to do my right splits i'm about 3 and half inches off the ground. And i'm really determined to get my right splits A.S.A.P. so if anyone has ideas on how to help me, please post them, thanks!

All I can suggest is to do lots of leg and pelvis streches so you can get your body to even better shape for dance. Also remember that in dance when doing a split it usually is done is 1-3 seconds so a dancer doesn't really have time to go all the way down to the floor and back up. But I can understand you wanted to get back to where you left off a year ago. So ask you teacher for some streach moves and have fun!
