I am still concerned with the turn on the first three of a Natural Turn in the Modern Waltz. There seems to be two schools of thought here. One is according to the book, which is exactly the same as the person who first introduced the step in the first place. That is the second step is taken across the LOD drawing the feet together and completing the turn as we lower at the end of three. The other is step one, on the same alignment. Step two straight down that alignment. The feet having not turned yet. Then draw up with both feet turning and continue turning on three as we lower. As I wrote before I would like to see that technique applied to a Reverse Turn. I'm with Alex and Victor and that is move the weight onto the foot, turn that foot and step to the side with both feet in line. Then draw up.If there is any problem turning. Remember we dance from foot to foot and do not leave our weight stuck in the middle, that applies to any dance. Fire Away.
