What does " spring" mean here? Is it like an action of rope skipping on ole foot?

Yichin. To spring is to leave the floor. Or to spring off a low Spring Board at the local swimming pool.

Hi, onlooker. thanks for reply.
2 days ago, I got an explanation about the spring and hop.
Spring : 2 feet leave the floor, and drops on one foot. hop : one foot leavs the floor , and drops on the same foot .( in fact , the hop slides the floor a short journey with more flexed knee after a small step in quickstep ).
