Twisting hips in chasse of cha-cha-cha basic movem

I've watched some movies of dances on the site and curious about one thing.
I seemed a lady in chasse of cha-cha-cha basic movement twisted her hips. I would like to ask site administrator did she really do that or I just seemed that?
Thanks in advance,
Igor

Igudym. Go to the learning section on this site. Find Cha Cha than New York What you will see is on the chasse the feet coming close together with a high instep on the moving foot. If the feet are level and the instep high your knee will be foreward of your body. The hip movement you can see is the knee slightly lapping the standing knee then pushing off. It's all there for the looking. If the music is too fast this is the first action to suffer.

Don,
you mean it was not really a hip twisting, rather only light 'knee twisting'? At least not intended as hip twisting. Yeah?
I've watched the movement frame by frame and can say I nearly agree with you...

I meant any explicit hip twisting in this chasse considered as a mistake for competition dancing as far as I know.

Igudym and others. As mentioned above on this site there are some very good vidio clips . If you want to see the correct action on a Cha Chasse. Find a New York and copy .
