Stoning a hand made costume

I was recently in a small store in Arizona that had assorted hand made clothing items and I picked up a poncho made by "knitting" nylon ribbbon. The result was so incredible that I asked the woman if she would make me a latin costume exactly as she had the poncho. It turned out amazing and I couldn't be happier. It is two piece with a "V" fring hanging from one side of the top and in both front and back of the skirt. I would like to add some stones to give it some sparkle on the floor but the ribbon is a little over a 1/4 inch wide and is elasticy due to the nylon. Any ideas????

You can go to www.ejoyce.com and they have flat back crystals and the glue to apply them with. The crystals come in all different sizes.
