Do you feel rushed on some syncopations

From a telemark dancing diagonal to center, syncopated weave into a lock step Timing(1&23,123). I always feel rushed even though I try to move my body at one speed throughout the movement. Is it possable to have to much flight?

Not sure about too much flight, but it's easy and common to have too much stride. On fast figures, such overstepping gets you behind the timing.

Thanks all,I thought I might be over reaching and i can see how soft knees will help. The other problem is that my wife has longer legs than I do. Dave
