Standing Spin

I went to my grand daughters class. Sitting there watching I saw this girl about fifteen years old in the Jive do a Spin ,both feet together. She could Spin on the spot two three times without any effort at all, as if she was on ball bearings. They changed partners. It was the same, and always finishing facing her partner without moving off the spot. I watched her five times, each time was as good as the previouse. I now believe spinners are born and not made.

Don,
Did the young lady use head-spotting or did the whole body turn as one?

Anon 1. No head spotting. Feet together. A little help to start from the partners. Then the hand held overhead. The rest was all her. All of the foot in contact with the floor. The remarkable thing from my point of view was the feet didn't move. I would call it a Michael Jackson special. As I first said , born but not made
