We want to learn.

When I was 4 & 5 years old I took Ballet & loved it. Unfortunately my parents were unable to keep me in it because we had no money. I grew up watching the Lawerence Welk Show & loved to watch the dancers on there. I want so much to learn to dance but now I can't because my boyfriend & I are so busy & trying to save money so we can get engaged & get married. We are going to dance at our wedding & we even have the song picked out but without proper instruction we won't be able to. What should we do? I personally would like to compete but I seriously doubt I would be able to since I don't have much time. Is there something we can do together? I would like to get some feedback on this matter. Thanks.

You have several issues.
1.You have deep desire to dance.
2.You are occupied with earning a living and saving for your wedding.
3.You wish to have a nice dance for your wedding day.
My two suggestions as a non-expert;
1.When you have a strong enough desire you will find a way,though it may not be as early in life as you might want.
2.Weddings can be expensive. Does your fiancee have intrest in spending time and money on your wedding dance?
3.My one suggestion as an expert;
As a wedding photographer, PLEASE learn a simple routine (a waltz,maybe?)for your wedding day. This 2 or 3 minutes can be the longest,dullest moments of your reception or the highlight of your evening!
You did't say where you live but there must be someone in your area who will teach you.
DON'T FORGET THE DIP!
P.S.
When I have the bride and groom aside for their sunset pictures I will "teach" them a nice dip for a photo. Most have never danced togeather before.
They always enjoy this and love that photo!
Couples who dance togeather stay together.

Good luck.

Most local studios have a wedding package that isn't too awfully expensive. It's basically them walking you through some basic steps, adding here and there, and making your own short wedding dance routine.

I'm no marriage counselor, but you should probably not jump into a marriage with pre-existing financial woes (and if you do, for god's sake, take the pill, Lol). Cut corners on the wedding. Have a simple, pretty ceremony, do the decorations and stuff yoruself, then splurge on dance lessons. All that crap you use to decorate with will wilt and die and be thrown away- ballroom lessons are, like, so totally, you know, more forever, and stuff, than diamonds.
