Hi all.
Can anyone give any information about the subject's names. There were professional dancers in the late 30's, UK. It doesn't matter how small. Thanks.

James & Elsa were married. Elsa originally danced with her brother John winning the Star Amateur Championship in 1931. John later danced with Renee Sissons.

Elsa turned professional toward the end of 1931 was reinstated as an amateur then danced professionally again a year later with James Holland.

James & Elsa were placed in a number of the British Professional Modern Championships up to 1940. They never appeared after that althogh James was a spectator in the 1946 event. Elsa apparently was recovering from an illness.

For many years Elsa organised the International Championships at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

Hope this helps

Steve
