I had recently taken my first dance lesson aboard a cruise ship. It was so exciting...brief...but it piqued my interest. This web site is so amazing; so full of excellent information with the help of video!! I am so impressed!!I look forward to purchasing a video and music so I can practice and 'get lost in the music'! Any tips about getting started would be appreciated. Where is a good starting point for a new person to begin??

I'd recommend finding a dance studio near you and taking some classes or lessons. Many dance studios offer introductory specials of a couple of lessons for a good price. Depending on where you live, if you have several studios to choose from, you might want to take the intro special at a couple of them to see which one you like best and compare prices. Most people start out with group lessons, but if you can afford it, even a couple of private lessons now and them can really help with your frame, lead and follow, etc. Trying to learn just from videos can be pretty difficult, especially if you don't have a partner to practice with. Welcome to dancing!
