so far ive only had four lessons,with eleven more planned, so far this has been a lot of fun,(never tryed this before) i think im starting to get hooked, i dont know where it will lead,anyone live southwest , joliet area, that might want to try dancing or practicing?

There's a partner search function under Classified Ads on this site and also try dancepartners.com. You might also ask your instructor if there are any other students at the studio who might want a practice partner. If you're taking individual lessons now, you might try adding a group class to meet other beginning dancers.

You aren't kidding its addictive. I started out with one group lesson a week about 9 months ago. Now, its one private lesson a week and 2 group classes, plus practice time. I still don't have a partner either, but my coach said sometimes if you go to other studios, particularly the larger ones its easier. Most people that are serious about dancing are willing to commute if its necessary. So, if you can't find someone in your current studio, try some others.
