If you really want to complain about Dancing with the Stars, go to the website, click on the ABC logo at the top of the page and then go all the way to the bottom of the page where you will find "contact ABC". Works like a charm.

I agree, but the IMPORTANT "result of Dancing with the Stars" should be an increase in ballroom dancing interest and more dancers.

If that happens, I'll be grateful to ABC.

You are so right Jerry, and it is working. The studios are seeing an increased interest in Ballroom Dancing. And be thankful for the upcoming American Ballroom Challenge on PBS. Every now and again it is nice to see the "pros" in action on the tube .

When is tha American Ballroom challange taking place?

I think it will be on Feb 1 and concluding on Feb 8 starting at 8 pm.

Check your local listings to be sure. Here in So.CA it is Feb 1st and 2nd. at 8:00 on our local KPBS station. Ida Moreno from Boston's PBS station has succeeded in bringing back a program similar to Championship Ballroom Dancing. Now we shall see competition in both American and International Styles,instead of just the final round of International Standard and Latin, highlights from the Ohio Star Ball same as CBD. Both Sam Sadano and Ida Moreno deserve a round of applause for their efforts, have worked with them both, wonderful people.

I too originally thought that the show would be good to promote ballroom dancing. Shoot, go into any sutidio and you see the flyers for the show.

My only concern was that the show painted an unrealistic picture of what your normal new dancer can expect.... They might expect to be doing lifts in two lessons.

I actually dont care for the show much, so dont watch it too often. I did like Ballroom Bootcamp... and of course am glued to the TV when PBS airs the pros.
