Is there ballroom in LA???

yeah, I know there is ballroom in LA. But is there a BALLROOM scene that I don't know about? I've been wanting to get into ballroom for a few years now (before it got into pop culture media), but there are no good places to learn east of Downtown. And even if you knew how to dance, there aren't any good social venues for ballroom (I mean for young people).

Am I out of the loop? - I've been searching everywhere - anyone know?

By "LA" I am not sure if you are refering Louisiana or Los Angeles, but here is a link with some info for USA Dance. Try searching their web site or you might give them a call on the toll free line. I am sure they'd be happy to put you in touch with someone in your area. Good Luck.

You could also try accessdance.com. To find young people interested in ballroom, check with colleges and universities near you. Many have ballroom clubs that have dances open to the public. Hope you find a great place to dance!
