Breaking up with an instructor

I have a dilemma in that I have been taking lessons from two instructors, at the same studio, in order to see which one I can work with the best. Well, it is now clear to me that I need to pick one; however I have enjoyed learning from both of them. I would like to handle this as pleasantly as possible; thereby leaving the door open to working in the future with the instructor that I don't pick. I would like some advice please.

Tell them pretty much what you told us here. It sounds honest and heartfelt. A true professional will understand that sometimes students want or need to move on, and they'll be happy to know how much you respected and appreciated what they had done for you thus far.
